Trip Continued

Wednesday we woke up and we were in Maui it was soo beautiful!. We got to the beach around 9:00am and it was so warm and sunny! The water was nice too, it was just

the right temp. We met a couple from Australia on the bus ride over there and we sat by them and they gave us pointers on how to snorkel, we bought some gear and we gave it a try. It was a little hard at first but then we got the hang of breathing through our mouths and it was pretty fun after that! We went pretty far out the first time we got our confidence up enough to go closer to the rocks, we saw a really cool octopus, it swam by us and then it stopped on top of a rock and before we knew it, it was camouflaged to the color of the rock. It was really cool, we wished we have our camera! Dang it!!! But we decided to start back we started to get tired and it seemed like it was easy but we were swimming the whole time and we just got super tired. We took a break and baked in the sun for a little while and relaxed. When we decided to go out again we borrowed life jackets......so much easier!!! When we got tired we just floated :) We went pretty far out the second time as well and before we knew it we were out there for a pretty long time and it started to get windy and so the water started to get rough...we had a hard time swimming in! It was a good thing we decided to take the life jackets out we could have been in trouble! But we made it back safe and we had fun so it turned out to be ok!! When we got back to the ship we were super tired though, we just went and relaxed.

That night we went to a show called Ulalena, it was amazing!!! It went through the history and culture of Hawaiian. All the music was done by people in the theatre and through the culture instruments like a shell and bamboo and drums and so much more!! It was produced with the help of and has been compared to the show in Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil where they do acrobatics and other stuff, with a Hawaiian twist on it. Really it was an awesome show!

Thursday we got up and did whats called the "Best of Maui" tour. We went to to a mountain area called Iao Valley, the mountain was beautiful it was all foggy on the top and very very green!! The mountain had this one point where we could hike up to a point and take pictures! We went to a tropical plantation and took a train ride around to see all the different things that Hawaii grows. Then we went to the Maui Ocean Center, it was an aquarium that had all the different creatures that live in the waters surrounding Hawaii! It was really intresting to see, they had these creapy fake sea lions that looked totally real! It had a big aquarium that had a tunnel you could walk through....Riley was picture happy and took pictures of almost everything there was and he probably spent at least a good 45 minutes in the tunnel taking pictures of all the different fish, sharks and the stingrays.

That night we got back on the ship and had dinner, we were given a card that said happy anniversary that we could take to any resturant and get a little something to celebrate it. We gave it to our waiter and they came out with a cake and sang a song to us. It was pretty embarrising but it was fun! There was a magic show we went to on the ship that night, it was pretty cheesey but it was something to do!

That is sooooo totally awesome! Is that the end of your trip? Or, is there more? Wow! I am sooo glad you guys are okay after snorkeling. I think I'd freak out about rough waters. (Ocean waters -- or any other water that I can't touch bottom in -- pretty much freaks me out.) :) Way to be brave! :) Hope you are well. You sure look cute all pregnant and such. :) Looooove it!
