Day of Celebrations!!

Sat July 7th there was a celebration of Life for Barbara Pruitt 'Nana' It was a special day for me to hear the stories of her life and hear from her grand kids and their memories of her. I have many fond memories of her and the love and kindness she showed to me and my kids! We will miss you Nana!!

After the lunch we went back to Aunt Jenny's house and the kids swam and the adults visited.
Chase got out of the pool and came inside for a brake and the next thing I knew he was passed out on this little stool, he was standing with his floaties and towel still on :)

Love that his feet are crossed

Pops took some notes from Chase and had a nap also :)
We are blessed to have some fun men in my kids lives, Uncle Rick and Blake have had a special bond since he was pretty little and now that Chase is getting bigger he is joining in on the fun with Rick. This story isn't promoting the best actions so you can judge what you want but its something that I want to remember :)
When Blake was around 21 months old we were at aunt Jenny's house for Thanksgiving and Uncle Rick taught Blake to go the cooler and get him a beer (like I said judge what you want) we told him it was soda and I allowed this if there wasn't any bad words taught to him he was starting to repeat everything we said. So every time we go up there and uncle Rick is there Blake thinks its funny to get him his beer, there was one time he was in the garage for a little bit and all of a sudden he came inside with the beer and his hand was red, he had dug in the cooler of cold water and ice to get it :)
This trip he was old enough to tell Rick he needed a little pay for his services, when uncle Rick gave him $5 he was beyond :)
Uncle Rick also teaches my kids the 'cool' things to do and say he learned 'I'm watching you' with putting his fingers to his eyes and then pointing them at someone :)
We came home from this trip with a few new words 'Shape up or ship out' Its cute until we are not happy with Blake and he says 'mom, shape up' :) Got to love kids!
